CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR LATEST DUT MYLES CHABI TO COMMIT TO USA COLLEGE!!!
Please help us in congratulating our latest athlete Myles Chabi from Sydney, New South Wales who is our latest DownUnder Traveller to verbally commit to play at College in America.
Myles fell in love with baseball at the early age of 6 playing T-Ball and is now in his 13th year of playing the game “Baseball has given me opportunities and experiences that I never could have anticipated when I started playing. I love every aspect of the game; its technicalities, the teamwork, discipline and life skills it has taught me”.
Myles is looking forward to experiencing what the baseball college life has to offer first hand, “The key factor in committing for me was the genuine care and commitment showed to me by Coach in the conversations I've had with him. They have an excellent program, facilities and coaching staff and I have watched many Australian players I know attend there and they have an absolutely positive experience developing their baseball and life skills”.
After being recommended to Ben Moore, Myles contacted the DownUnder Travellers to discuss college prospects.
Myles was marketed to the DownUnder Travellers extensive network of highly sought after college connections by Ben Moore, where Myles was approached with multiple college offers. Myles said of Ben Moore and the recruitment process “Put simply, Ben and Downunder Travellers were amazing. I'd investigated other third-parties and caught wind of the great work Ben was doing placing Australian players in the US. The process was simple and his communication great. I think what sets Ben apart other than his first hand knowledge of the game is the relationships and networks he has on the ground in the US and his ability to place players in schools that are aligned with their skills and personal needs and preferences”.
Myles has played for:
Vikings in the State League Competition
Bosco Braves Minor League
St.Pat's Baseball Club
Cronulla Sutherland Junior Baseball Association at Little, Junior and Senior League National Titles
Represented Australia at the 2015 LLWS and 2018 SLWS
Congratulations mate! The best is yet to come!
