CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR LATEST DUT WILLIAM EDWARDS TO COMMIT TO USA COLLEGE!!!

Please join us in congratulating William Edwards from Sydney, New South Wales who is our latest DownUnder Traveller athlete to verbally commit to playing college baseball in America.

William fell in love with baseball 12 years ago and said, “Baseball means everything to me. It has been my goal since Little League to progress through the ranks and go on to play college baseball, with aspirations of hopefully getting drafted or moving on to a 4-year institution. I am super excited and grateful to have the opportunity to further my studies whilst playing the sport I love.”

William is excited to experience what the baseball college life has to offer and said that he is looking forward to “the opportunity to play, as well as clear direction from the Coach”. He said that he chose to commit to McCook College because of “the strong relationship with the DownUnder Travellers in sending players to McCook with proven success”.

After being recommended to DownUnder Travellers, William contacted them to discuss college prospects. He was then marketed, and approached by, the DownUnder Travellers extensive network of highly sought after college connections. William said of Downunder Travellers and the recruitment process, “The DownUnder Travellers helped to simplify the recruitment process and were always keen to help out when we needed. They were able to quickly get me in contact with coaches, allowing me to make an informed decision that best suited me and my family. ”.

When asked what advice he would give to players who want to pursue a future pathway in baseball he said, “Stick with it and work hard, to progress you must stand out. By proving yourself at different events and constantly working on your craft, you give yourself the best opportunity to get a chance at the next level. It is also important to believe in yourself and give yourself the best chance at success by utilising the technology we have available to us. Use your coaches to better yourself and start getting into conversations with schools early.”

William has played for:
