Please join us in congratulating Amaya Foxover from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland who is our latest DownUnder Traveller athlete to verbally commit to playing college softball in America.
Amaya fell in love with softball 10 years ago and said, “Softball is a massive part of my life, it means commitment and constantly aiming to be the best I can. I love the sport and the people who I play against and alongside.”
Amaya is looking forward to experiencing what college life has to offer, combining her passion for softball with studying chemistry. She said that she is excited to be “close to the beach and the college looks really cool and interesting with a great softball side”.
After being recommended to DownUnder Travellers, Amaya contacted them to discuss college prospects. They have been so supportive and helpful.”
When asked what advice she would give to players who want to pursue a future pathway in softball she said, “Definitely go for it, being able to play sport overseas is such a cool experience and such a big and exciting step to take.”
