CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR LATEST DUT SORAYA HAMSON TO COMMIT TO USA COLLEGE!!!

Please join us in congratulating Soraya Hamson from the Gold Coast, Queensland, who is our latest DownUnder Traveller athlete to verbally commit to playing college softball in America.

Soraya started playing baseball when she was 9 years old, representing Brisbane South in the Little League Nationals. Using the skills that she had learned playing baseball, she then transitioned to softball at the age of 10 and her love of the sport grew from there.

The DownUnder Travellers connected Soraya with representatives from their extensive network of colleges and she made the decision to commit to Three Rivers College saying, “Softball is the thing that I love to do, so to be given the opportunity to get better through training and playing games whilst getting a degree, is the perfect way to reach my goals for the future.”

When asked how she found the recruitment process with the DownUnder Travellers, she said, “DownUnder Travellers Baseball and Softball have a genuine desire to help athletes play in the US. They are affordable and are developing a great network of contracts at the College level. They are responsive and offered good advice during the process.”

Soraya is excited to be joining Three Rivers College and encourages players interested in pursuing a future pathway in softball to strive to achieve their goals saying, “If you love playing and training, and you have the right skill set and want to work hard, then pursue a future College or a professional career in the US. We have many Aussies over there who are making a difference.”
